Hey guys I use my go pro on most dives, but the quality isn't great. I know i can change the settings but that reduces over all film time by heaps.. I came across a youtube video and a bloke said he started using a "flat lens" and it was a lot clearer. Is the flat lens better for visibility wise when viewing post dive? Cheers |

There are two types of housings flat and curved. Flat works better underwater and curved is for land use. Reason i purchased my intova sport was price and flat housing already installed. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DH4vRIz_xGQ&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DDH4vRIz_xGQ |

The Hero 3's come with flat lens housings by default. Hero 2's you'll need to buy a separate one. You can get the official GoPro ones for like... 60 bucks I think? For my Hero2 I bought an Eye Of Mine flat lens housing for like $120 - but that was before gopro had released their flat lens housing. By all accounts the gopro one is better than any of the third party housings. |
