It has arrived....

Victorian Freediving part 2 is a video i have been slowly working on since i did my last vid; Vic Freediving part 1.

It features over 45 different species of marine animals including; southern rock lobsters, whiting, yellowtail kingfish, black/green lip abs, seven gill sharks, hump back whales, salmon, seals, wobbies, snapper, squid, snook, stargazer, queen snapper, flathead, jackass morwong, various LJ's, bream, western blue devils and the list goes on.

this is a short promo, by no means did i choose the best bits, just a rough idea of what the video contains
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gKkWehEU4Q

note: the video is not professional quality, it is home video, with music i prefer to dive vids 'chillout' styles, if you prefer rock or commercial stuff, you probably wont like the music.

if you like the promo, and want a copy of the video (running time approx 40min) i think i will sell them for about $5, just to cover costs.

cheers tom,

leigh, no worries chief, i am having problems with windows movie maker at the moment, hopefully it is all sorted soon. i will never use that program again...ever! if all goes well i should have some ready for preso night.

note: this video doesnt have alot of spearing, i hated blue vision, shooting everything that moves. this video is more about freediving and observing, and occassionally wacking fish and grabbing crays, that is what i especially liked about immersion 2.

i have put some parts of it on youtube, check this thread (dive vids) for 'victorian freediving part 1, clip 1-2-3' this was really a learning curve vid, so dont except too much.

i have just had a thought about narrating vic freediving part 2, talking about species, gear, tech and victorian diving in general. what do you guys think? narrate or just music. the narrating may turn out wanky....

how big are your movies badger? Im guessing they're only at like 640x480 so you should be able to fit heaps on a dvd. You could put 2 versions on the dvd, with narration and without, and link em to a simple menu. I think it would be good to hear some info, but then people would have the choice.

most of the filming was done along mornington peninsula (oceanside). most of the beaches or entry points are similar, so if your looking for new areas try koonya, sorrento, rye and all the spots in between. vis can be an issue when the swell is rolling or if there are cross winds and chop, the peninsula also takes a while to clean up. phillip island appears to clean up a little quicker after a big blow or swell.
