That pic is mine - I reckon it is the most magnificent place on the vicco coast, and I've been everywhere man....

If you blokes wanna change it for another, that;s cool. FHere's a snap of my mates family's shack, which sits below the spot the pic was taken. It's west of Cape Otway, and a long walk unless you're in the know.....

EDIT - Sorry removed pic, a bit nervous about posting that spot on the net - there's been a bit of trouble with vandals there over the years

The pic at the top is a wide angle shot of a stretch of coastline that is pristine. In my mind, it conjures up possibility of diving many different habitats with all the adventure that Victoria has to offer. A cray heaven and spearfisher's paradise. It is quite unique and I would like to see it stay. That being said, I must say I do like some of the photos you guys have posted. If changed, in my opinion a contender for a stretch of coastline with similar qualities would have to be Wilson's prom.

Kurt, Hodad has the original photo, I have a copy of the SFD logo. Not sure about permissions on the current banner. May need to speak with South.

I'd like to see some consistency to certain club trademarks. Logo and banner would fit that category. To that end, I would like greater input into the selection process from as many club members as possible if we are to change it.

Badger, what are your thoughts on including a banner section within the photography comp? We can include a prize to be handed out at presentation night. That way, we have a vote for most popular pic/banner and we get recognition for the photographer. Wide angle would be preferred.

OK, I may have misinterpreted this thread. Having spoken to South, we agree that the banner at the top should stay.

As for the signature, that is what I suggest could be included in the Photography comp.

Overall, I think the current signatures look good but are a bit large.

I was wanting the original so i could make the banner in the forum larger, would be nicer if it stretched the whole, 1072 x 768 resolution.

Found the original - it's a stitched together panorama shot from several photos, put together using the software that came with the camera. This is the only size/resolution I have...

Well its seems from popular demand a sig has been made from the banner image, here it is
Image

to add it to your profile on other forums place

Code:
[img]http://southernfreedivers.org.au/images/sfd.jpg[/img]

The main purpose of this sig is to bring awareness of our club to other Victorian divers that may be cruising the NSW, QLD forums and bring them over to the club. Hope you guys decide to add ti to your other profiles.

Refer to the 1st post of this thread before using this Signature.
