Hi guys
I wouldn’t drill any holes into the barrel either!
This is my version of a mounting bracket.
It is dead easy job (20 min max) to make a bracket for a rail-gun, all you need is:
25 x 3 - 300mm long aluminium strip (Capral)
2 - 1/2" - 20TPI - SS bolts - 30mm long
1/2" SS flat o/sized washer
1/2" SS spring washer
contact glue (all from Bunnings)
25 x 2 - 70mm rubber strip
1/2" - 20TPI tap (M5 or M6 would do too, but 1’2” – 20 TPI is a standardised camera mounting thread at the bottom your camera so I’ve used same bolts for simplicity, you actually don’t need the tap if you fix the gun mounting bolt with a nut, but then you need two spanners to fit and adjust camera to the gun)

Don't have any drawings of it, got it done on fly in my garden shed fitting it directly to the gun barrel.
