g'day just wondering if any of you have made your own camera bracket for your speargun? I'm looking at making one but I'm not real keen on drilling holes into my gun,any ideas for for a clamp or something you can put on and remove would be great, cheers |

Talk to spook, I believe he has made a few camera mounts for different types of guns. |

Hi guys I wouldn’t drill any holes into the barrel either! This is my version of a mounting bracket. It is dead easy job (20 min max) to make a bracket for a rail-gun, all you need is: 25 x 3 - 300mm long aluminium strip (Capral) 2 - 1/2" - 20TPI - SS bolts - 30mm long 1/2" SS flat o/sized washer 1/2" SS spring washer contact glue (all from Bunnings) 25 x 2 - 70mm rubber strip 1/2" - 20TPI tap (M5 or M6 would do too, but 1’2” – 20 TPI is a standardised camera mounting thread at the bottom your camera so I’ve used same bolts for simplicity, you actually don’t need the tap if you fix the gun mounting bolt with a nut, but then you need two spanners to fit and adjust camera to the gun) hack saw wise drill & bits Attachment: DSCN0770.JPG [ 72.66 KiB | Viewed 5681 times ] bracket assembly Attachment: DSCN0771.JPG [ 73.01 KiB | Viewed 5678 times ] parts Attachment: DSCN0772.JPG [ 65.85 KiB | Viewed 5678 times ] on a barrel up, ready Attachment: DSCN0773.JPG [ 67.72 KiB | Viewed 5678 times ] on a barrel down for loading Attachment: DSCN0776.JPG [ 72.98 KiB | Viewed 5681 times ] rotated down with camera Attachment: DSCN0778.JPG [ 71.88 KiB | Viewed 5680 times ] up with camera Attachment: DSCN0780.JPG [ 73.75 KiB | Viewed 5679 times ] LCD muzzle view Attachment: DSCN0781.JPG [ 73.16 KiB | Viewed 5676 times ] earlier version in SS, for pipe gun or rail gun without rail all the to the mech, rubber strip missing (very important) Attachment: DSCN0782.JPG [ 70.39 KiB | Viewed 5674 times ] SS bracket - top Don't have any drawings of it, got it done on fly in my garden shed fitting it directly to the gun barrel.
