My housing leaked today and shut the camera off leaving the lense open. Not sure whether to try turning it on or not as I heard that it shouldn't be turned on with moisture in it? Any ideas would be great!

Hey Ryan. Turn it on. If it has salt water in it then it is rooted. If it works- lucky you. If not- start looking for a new one. 99 times out of 100 a leak is operator error. After a while we can be a little complacent with our set-up. lubricate (lightly) and inspect seal for hairs or grit. Check for bubbles immediately upon entry. If in doubt, get out. Good luck.

Yeah they said send it back, apparently sometimes they replace them under warranty. Didn't think that would happen as they have too many outs. Started filming using a tripod underwater, set it up outside a cave with a bit of berley and it was working a treat until a LJ decided to have a taste of the housing and somehow let some water in. I check it every time, lube etc. Some f#@ker said wash it out with metho as it dissipates water so now I have to get rid of the smell before I can send it back. It's coming for a dive with me this morning, minus the housing!
