Gday All,

It's that time of year again when the memberships are due. You MUST be a Southern Freedivers Member to dive club comp.

Memberships run from July 1st - June 30th. It is not a pro rata system so I encourage all members to renew as early as possible to get the most from your membership.

I have updated the membership application forms on the home page (http://www.southernfreedivers.org.au/?id=Membership) as they were getting a bit dated. We have also increased the membership prices $10 to accommodate the new AUF pricing schedule, which covers members insurance (policy can be found at http://www.auf.com.au).

You MUST fill in all three forms. Please try and make your writing legible. As we actually have to fill in the contact lists, etc from these forms.

You will also see a new section at the bottom of the membership application form which gives details about the SFD contact list. This list will be distributed to all members to enable people to find dive buddies in their area. You can nominate or withhold as much information as you like from the contact list by ticking the appropriate boxes.

Benefits to SFD members:
15% Discount at Legendary Skindiving Euipment (Adult)
20% Discount at Legendary Skindiving Euipment (Junior)
Opportunity to attend 12 club meetings per year
Opportunity to particpate in competitions such as the Victorian Challenge, Club Series and the new Kingfish Challenge
Opporutnity to attend club days such as the Christmas Party, Golf day and presentation night.
Opportunity to particpate in club trips such as Southern NSW, NZ and Coral Sea
Quarterly club newsletters
Access to Victoria's best divers and member contact list
Access to the Southern Freedivers Members lounge area on the forum

Benefits to AUF members:
Adding your voice to thousands of other underwater enthusiasts across Australia

Access to very experienced skindivers who regularly want dive buddies
Regular competitions (spearfishing, underwater photography, superdiver) as well as underwater hockey, finswimming and freediving
Opportunity to claim club, national and world records
AUF latest products including t-shirts, fridge magnets, posters, calendars and other merchandise.
You can help AUF ensure balanced environment, social and economic decisions about marine management.

I must not be very good at writing membership application forms because I thought it was pretty straight forward. Also recieved a few questions via PM.

When you join the club you also join the AUF (all the club's insurance is now done through the AUF). Hence you need to fill in 3 forms.
-Southern Freedivers Membership Application
-Indemnity Form
-AUF Membership Application

If you are over 18, all you pay is $80. $55 goes to the AUF, $25 goes to the SFD.
If you are a junior, all you pay is $40. $35 goes to the AUF, $5 goes to the SFD.

Does that explain it?
