leave it with me old mate.

I'm sure members of the VNPA are reading this so here goes - Bridie Smith's article had two main LIES. Spearfishing did not wipe out Eastern Blue Groper in Victorian waters - the fish never existed west of the Prom. Where did she get that info from anyway? Further to that - as we all know the fish they have seen off Barwon Heads / Port Phillip Heads are NOT Eastern Blue's.

Lies make baby jesus cry Bridie. I just hope the lies were printed unintentionally and not printed as known lies from the author to push an agenda.

I have some questions!!
So is the purpose of obtaining specimens of Victorian Blue groper to:

1) Identify and differentiate the difference between Western and Eastern Blue Groper?
2)Use that information to remind the DPI that the two species are exclusive to the two state waters?
3)Use the information as objective evidence against the intermitten ban about to be/already imposed?
4)Quell public concerns/misconceptions that divers are taking a supposedly "Vulnerable" species due to their lack of knowledge between the two species?

peace.

Sorry, it was a trick question..

ie. Use past records of sightings eg. Comp scores etc. as Anecdotal data to indicate that the species seen and captured in Victoria is ONLY that of the Eastern Blue Groper, which is exclusive to Victorian waters and that Western Blue Groper, is exclusive only to N.S.W waters.

For comparative purposes, this is what a Victorian Eastern Blue looks like.

Don't you think the Greens would have better things to do than read spearing forums and I wonder which Greens you actually mare thinking about. It's the VNPA we have to worry about and I really don't think they would be reading this either.

Half the shit I hear from people that the Greens want to do does not come from the greens but from the right wing shock jocks and dickheads from the Shooters and fishers and similar redneck right groups that are really Liberal stooges make up the other half.
