 Post subject: Adding Photo's to Posts

- Uploading photos and other various file types is now allowed for all selections.

- Simply before you click post, scroll down and you will see and new little box saying add an attachment.

- You can add more than one attachment to each post.

- Try to keep them at a reasonable size, some people still use 56k. (Dial up)


ALSO you can resize images in PAINT quite easily, open your image in the Paint software, click "Resize" up the top left and make it, say... 20% of the original size and Save As "###_LOWRES"

Also, note that you cant view attachments unless you are logged in! So you guys who just stare, cant see the pretty pictures unless you register and log in. Yes you Luke.

Ï tried to attach a pic of a home made woodie and send to gear talk. Using my Olympus master I reduced the pic to 40 KB - and there was a noticeable loss in quality - but I still got a "the attachment is too large!"message.

The photo on the front of the newsletter seems to be much higher resolution than what I tried to send

How small does the pic have to be?

Is the limit in pixels or KB?
