Has anyone heard anything about this?? I cut and paste it off the Dive Oz website.
It may be worthwhile for
new spearos wanting to grab some gear or
old ones wanting to offload some gear....
A dive gear buy swap and sell meeting is being organised through the Diveoz website. The basic concept is that people with stuff to sell will be setting up stalls at the Cheltenham market on Sunday 5th Oct. The more people that turn up as either buyers and sellers the better this will be.
If you have any old gear you want to get rid of then you can get a stall for only $10! Or if you have only a few things to sell you could share a stall with someone else. Buyers can just turn up and hopefully pick up some great bargains.
This a first time for such an event and if successful it could become a regular event. The Cheltenham market is undercover so there is no chance of rain spoiling the day!
Final details are still being worked out so go to the Diveoz forum for more information and to keep an eye on any developments. Hope to see lots of people there!!

Location Details:
CHELTENHAM ROTARY TRASH AND TREASURE-CRAFT AND CAR BOOT SALE - Rear of Charman Road Shopping Centre, Cheltenham, 8am 1pm A market to cover all tastes.
The venue is not far off Nepean Hwy and is an undercover carpark in behind the Charman Rd shops. It lies between Station Rd and Railway Rd at Melway Ref. 86 J2. (You can enter off either of those streets)
Stall holders tend to get there early to set up. Cost of the stall is $10 with the money going to charity. If you have only a few items you may want to share a site with someone else who has a small offering.
There is a stall that sells coffee and sausages on site. Or there is a bakery, fruit shop etc just around the corner in Charman Rd if anyone needs some sustenance. There are also banks with ATMs nearby.
You can probably take your car on site or otherwise make sure you have some folding tables etc to set up your goods on. Being a 'general' market you could also bring along any other trash or treasure if you wanted. Probably should make sure you have some change available. Note: since this venue is undercover it can proceed irrespective of the weather!
PS if you know of anyone else that might be interested or you are involved with other clubs, dive groups of any sort, dive forums etc please pass this message on!
