hey guys got a magpie perch the other day been told it's decent eating but i don't know. how would i cook it up? or should i give it to the cat?

I don't really like them, but ive got a fish book that gives them 4/5 stars, so there must be some way to cook them up nice. baked in the oven went to slimy mush & put me right off them.

might try filleting it dusting it in flower and frying it in the oven. anyone else have any ideas? cheers. slimy mush is alright if you went down the pub and got a few teeth knocked out. abit easier to eat it :)

ive fried it and it was pretty good, my mum liked it more than bluethroat, but i prefer blue throat.

I just chuck em on the fry pan, full body (no head) and a bit of lemon afterwards, taste good.
Nothing to exciting hah.
