Hi all,

I have seen a few Magpie Perch and Zebrs Fish about but I have never really bothered with them because I was unsure about how they faired as a table fish.

Has anyone tried eating them? If so, what is the best way to cook them?

don't bother mate. plenty of good eating species in vic - why target zebs & maggies? They are predominantly weed eaters and there flesh reflects this.

Magpie Perch are reasonable eating since they feed on invertebrates.
