Do adult banded morwongs ever get black & white bands?

I was up in Eden and from the edge of a bommie spotted 2 very large fish whith distinctive black & white bands looking decisively like banded morwongs and nothing like magpie perches: the bands were not the broad ones in maggies but thinner like the banded morw.
The shape of the body, especially the front end, was also very much like a banded morw
These 2 were grazing and would have been easily around the 1.5kg mark
Thanks

they go red when you bring them up. Alive and on the bottom they are all banded, hence the name.

Greg ????
communication breakdown
Just asking whether the bands on large Banded Morwongs (definetly not maggies) can sometimes be distinctively black & white

don't really know about a distinctive black and white Pietro but i have found bandeds in NSW sometimes can be a bit darker than the ones we shoot in Vic.

I'm not sure about this but I'm guessing that they look black and white once you get deeper and the red light starts to run out. When you bring them up or find one shallow they look red/brown.
