Post subject:  identifying a sharks tooth

hey guys im not sure if anyone on here is a shark wizz but im going to ask anyway.
my friend found this tooth in the sand and would love to know what shark it has come from.
it looks quite familier to a fossilized great whites tooth from the pics on google.
anyways any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

its a shark tooth from "a trendy surfer dudes necklace that broke" shark....

megalodon shark tooth. it's a fossil tooth, probably worth about $25-30 off a necklace. Larger ones are quite expensive.

We used to find heaps of them off the Beaumaris Moror Boat Club. They are not Megaladon teeth but I believe from a biggun not unlike a Mako. They are around 7 million years old. (I am led to believe.) The Beaumaris area is a fossil ground of some note.
