Blue Water Hunting International ran their first Yellowtail Kingfish charter for the year down to Wilsons Promontory on December 30, 2010 and it proved to be a huge success.
Utilising their new custom built 7.4 meter White Pointer charter vessel powered by twin 200 Horse Power Yamaha outboards the trip produced several Kingys to 15kg and with fish sighted over 20 kg. The fish all came from schools of fish number over 100 fish and it is the best start to the Yellowtail season that we have seen! “We normally encounter the Kingys from mid to late January but they have arrived in numbers early this year. All looks very promising for our best season yet. We will be running guided spearfishing charters to Wilsons Promontory as of mid to late January” say BWHI principal Robert Torelli.
