Don't know if you guys are interested in Spider Crabs, but the Rye pier was going off on the weekend. Went down and took some photos and footage on Scuba of the thousands of them arround. Apparently they are all but gone now.

Have a listen to Tom Waits' back catalogue if you like that music.

Thanks mate. First time I've ever made a video, used Windows Movie Maker. Fuck it is easy. Drag the pics and clips (split them if you like) in, set the order, drag on transitions and effects, add a title and credits, go to itunes and find a song that is a similar length, publish it to your computer and put it on Youtube.

All too easy. Rhys, you should let me know when you want to go out for a spear or scuba. Really enjoying taking vids and photos underwater, just need to get my shakes down. The current and conditions were not great last Saturday in the bay. Too much wind and swell. Would have been better out back :)

You'll find that licensed songs won't last long on there and they'll either delete the audio or put ads in your clip! Vimeo doesn't tho

Hey Mickl.

Canon Powershot G9 w/ the standard Canon underwater housing for that model. Set me back quite a bit of money when I got it. IT is a fantastic camera. I just have to work on my shaking and underwater photography/videography now!

Cheers,

Tom

Be careful of the Canon housing, the quality control isn't great...I got a dodgy one. Killed my G9.

Thanks Ash. I always make sure I wipe and clean the O Ring perfectly before every dive and lubricate it. I have had the camera and housing for about two years and havent had a problem yet, but I appreciate the advice. Will continue to be very careful with it. I wanted the Ikelite one at the time, but didnt have the coin :(
