Me and a mate went out right side of the pier.
I was very excited with my brand new spear gun from Anaconda.. $60 on sale it claimed to be rrp 300..

Water was absolutely freezing! I only had my 3"2 rip curl surfing wetsuit, no booties, no mask..

As we were approaching the water, approx 6 dolphins started chasing fish right in front of us!
We were in the water for 40 mins.
I did not see 1 thing! Not even a toad fish!!!
Couldn't believe it :(

And on top of that, I shot the gun for some practice and broke the loading rope after 2nd use..
Gun was pathetic, ended up taking it back for a full refund.
Looking to purchase a mask and new Rob Allan Sparid soon!

Hoping to get wet at mornington in a week or two just with my good old sling :)

Pretty cool you had the dolphins up near you in the water, they're normally so shy in port phillip o.O.

So true. Head down to legendary for a gun. I looked at the rob allen, only reason I decided not to was warranty. Should something happen to the gun on a sat, then you have to wait for the rep, then to send it off - might be 2 weeks before you get it fixed. Torelli tigon - lifetime warranty. I have had excellent support from legendary,
