I have been looking after my kid so went and had a look at the Robert Hunter in at docklands (a ship that is owned by seashephard, the mob that rammed the jap whaling vessel a while ago). That was pretty cool, some nice looking dory's on it (6-7m Ribs one with twin 115's on it). They give a tour around the ship for a donation. There is no pressure to donate though, they show a bit of footage of the actual ramming which was apparently a mistake. It was pretty inspiring stuff!
I contemplated volunteering for it at a later date and asked about the roles of medical staff in the crew etc but the whole ethos is Vegan so the spear would have to stay at home. I think it would still be worth it for the experience and to get far out to sea though.
Anyway had me thinking.
That is the only real exciting thing done over the w/e, no diving alas. Maybe tuesday
