Hi
A mate and I are thinking of going to Airey's Inlet this Sunday, we haven't been there before and was wondering if anyone could advise if the forecast of North to North westerly 11knots is ok for this area.
Neither of us have been in the water for a while so were not looking for anything to rough to to start back, probably try some spearing for a while. Then may scuba as well to look for some crays as I'm tipping our breath hold skills will be pretty ordinary just starting back.

Thanks
Mark

Hey mate - the Southern Freedivers are holding an Aireys Inlet Competition this weekend on the sunday. Have a look at it in the "Competitions" thread on the forums. The Brown Mullet (Muzz) will post on there this thursday whether or not the comp will be on. If its on, then the weather will be fine to dive. If its off, the weather will be poor to dive. That will give you an indication to whether Aireys will be good this weekend :)

I'd take that with a pinch of salt :)

If its on, the weather conditions will allow it to be a safe dive

Looks like the comp at Aireys is in doubt due to conditions. We will leave making a final call until Friday. We will get something up as soon as we can. At this stage Aireys is probably out so we are looking at Kennett river as an option.
