Hey boys & gals. Thought I would be proactive and get something up as it's right around the corner - Anzac Day weekend (25th-26th April). We need to know who is keen as we need to confirm how many sites to book. Everyone welcome!

For anyone else that may be interested. There won't be a problem getting sites. On the website there are camp sites available at saltwater creek and last resort, bittangabee.

Stoj- Doing 3 days Fri-Sun

Mitch- can't fit you in I already have a full car, 3 + swags, esky, gear, etc. And I reckon I've got little chance of squeezing in my boat float :x

Trip is on! fri-sun. Some are heading up Friday others arriving sat.

Camp site we will be at is Saltwater Creek campground in Ben Boyd National Park.

As for conditions, who knows, swell is dropping but as for vis we will only know over the course of the weekend. Either way option B (below) is a a great reason get out of the house.
(B)Spend Australia Day weekend with mates having a laugh consuming plenty of booze & healthy chargrilled food .

As mentioned earlier there is plenty of sites available. After speaking with some of the senior heads they have said just rock up and choose a site that we like preferably close to the vicinity we will be diving.
As for payment there is honour system where you pay per person, per vehicle, per day. Rangers each morning check these payments against your car rego's.

Anymore details bout what to bring etc are more than likely mentioned above.

6.5hrs of driving & Carly, Laura & I had arrived at our campsite. 10min later Stoj & Mitch had arrived.....in one piece. Mitch managed not only to ram his first bird but copped plenty of action from behind by a lady old enough to be Betty White (Golden Girls)

Anyway off to the beach, to reveal both creeks openly flowing into the bay and creating a dark brown sea (rains had burst open the creeks the day before). So the plan was to setup camp & wait for some of our knowledgeable members to arrive..... That's if they were coming down. I knew Brett was keen but had to finish some jobs, Muzz would be on the couch in his snuggie watching Ellen & Dr Phil & we werent sure if Leigh's angry face would improve any situation.

Anyway after plenty of food and drink in the rain we settled in for the night but were waken bout an hour later by Leigh who had arrived. So up I get half asleep down another beer while telling Leigh the wind has been southerly all week and swell is easterly. Wake up the next morning to Leigh saying its fuckin shit, the vis is fuckin shit.
Anyway the rest of our weekend involved no diving, due to terrible conditions wherever we went. But it wasn't all that bad Lethal turned out to a wealth of knowledge and became a great tour guide giving us some valuable info of many spots around that general area. Other than that there was plenty of kicking back with plenty of shits and giggles to keep us amused for the weekend.

3 Votes go to Mitch for "surviving" his first real initiation on a club trip. We still think you have a butler named "Geeves"
2 Votes to Stoj for saving me from the herd of kangaroos when they stole my loaf of bread.
1 Vote to both the girls Carly & Laura for putting up with weather and us boys all weekend, and teaching Leigh how to make stew.
