Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
Two dives, on Friday and on Saturday. Friday spear-fishing. Good Sand flathead, Luderick, Magpie perch, Six spine leatherkjacket . It took 2 hours to find legal size fish, a striking contrast with 1998.
Saturday, abalone season already started. Result better than inspected, 5 legal blacklip within 30 minutes, greenlip?..all found were left a lot to be desired  ;( Depth 4-5 m, viz 4-5 m. A good place for occasional freediver, lots of seadragons, cowfish, wrasses. One Spiny Gurnard on sandy patch in seagrass.
But - shore-dive sucks and if the boat is not available a canoe is a must.

Sounds like a good trip. :) I went off of the shore yesterday arvo and couldn't see where I was going. Lol. Only got out as far as the length of the pier. Barely managed to see what looked like a couple of grass whiting. I need a boat... Ha ha.

boats aren't a necessity. A lot of the time you can do just as well shore diving
