Went out sorrento back beach today for a solo dive viz was about 3 to 8m lots of surge and weed around got a lil horce shoe leather jacket and a blue throte . Found a nice cray had my hands on his horns trying to get a better grip but run out of air let go and surfaced, only to look down and watch him swim to another hole never to be seen again. Found another one but was a female with eggs hopefully I'll catch up with her next season

Dived flinders bass straight side with boostedsk from the forum - too much chop and terrible vis but was a fun dive. On the plus side new 5mm from Brett kept me toasty warm.

We miss judged the conditions. Flat as a tack when we were suiting up, by the time we got in the tide had come up and the swell was rolling into the area we were diving. Most of the time I couldn't see Matt 2ms away let alone fish....much shallower than I thought there too.

I got out on Saturday with a mate. Got my first cray at 1.2-1.4kg, but was female with eggs and put her back. Was stoked to land one!
I then came across this fella below....
After getting him out of the water, made a call to Noosa as i forgot Brett was away hehe...
Then called Geoff and met him up that arvo for a Vic Challenge weigh in!

Got out with Brett, Andrew V, Russell, Brendon and Leigh on the Jet-ski's today. Visibility was great / variable in the dive spots. Swell was a bit high but we still managed to dive the protected spots. No crays were harmed in the making of Brett's video on his FB page, and none were harmed on the day. I pulled a female and returned her home, as did some of the other guys. I got scared by a seal 4 times when he kept swimming under me on the surface, as well as over me when i was on the bottom. Good day out.

Thank you to Brett for providing me with a history lesson mid dive, and for no flying draughtboard sharks. Thanks Andrew for the ski ride, and thanks Leigh for offering to drive me :P
