nice cray man, mine was way smaller like a few cm over legal it was only a bit over a kilo. still gave a good feed. gives ya the shits when ppl use snares and spikes and sticks and shit, especially if they clean up just before you get in the water!!!! VS if u wana c a cray try getting in the water
and yea it was fairly scarse down that way we only saw one and it was the one we got!

the first one i got like 2 weeks ago was on tanks that was in a really tricky spot wouldnt have got it on breath. well I WOULDNT have, some of the other guys prob could, it was so deep in this cave took us 20 mins to get it out!! and just cos we were on scuba doesnt mean we were using sticks and shit we still just use 5mm gloves and thats it so i dont wana hear the whole speil of how scuba is cheating cos i get them both ways. The 2 bigger ones we got on breath they were relitivley easy only in a few meters of water and not DEEP in caves or crevices.

Dived the back beaches nice and early on saturday, saw a few small crays.
Shot a few sweep and large six spine for dinner.

vis was okay, 5 - 7 meters crap floating in the water everywhere. Surge was fairly powerful.

Good day all up.

dived koonya to the left of the carpark, was first time i have dived there 8- 10 metre vis, bit of swell about but genreally good dive, however fish life was minimal, some big luderick, few lj's and some small squid, felt like i look under every ledge but still cant find a single cray, at koonya is to the left where it was calmer worse, should i be heading out to that massive bommie or out to the right? any help appreciated

went out on my mates boat today and did a few dives. was great day out on the water, dived first half way between flinders and the schank i think its called cairnes bay or something, was good terrain not much fish just some sweep, saw 1 cray but not legal size, then went round to near bushrangers bay, no crays, bout 4 ab boats working the area, saw a few other divers working the area, orange floats, anyone here diving round the schank today? then dived ballnarring, saw a tiny tiny cray nothing to get excited about, good day on the water though.

Headed out in Ivors boat off Flinders this morning with Tim. Forgot the pussy tablets so I spent the entire morning throwing up on the rocks and in the boat. Ivors morning wasn't so bad though! He got these and I got a new set of overalls.

Went today to Blowhole: 3-4 meter vis, not much fish life. Dove to about 8 meters, saw a school of pan- size trevally and some leatherjackets. Then moved to Flinders, went north of the pier towards the mussel farm. Did not reach the mussel farm, speared some nice red mullet and saw a good flatty and a good morwong which ran into the weed, which forms a carpet there. Did not reach the mussel farm itself. Has anyone dived there? If so, whats the depth and fish life there like?
