He was one of the stunt drivers

Rumour has it, that you've already splashed out $$$ on new arsenal. 8)
Just a warning, there's a fairly good chance that if you continue to dive with Lethal that your garage will fill up quickly and your missus will also ban you from putting up giant fish in your premises.

Went for a late dive of Sandringham today. Via was good, and managed to get into a school of salmon and shot 1 (41cm), reloading my gun only to watch a Kingy swim past to check me out!!!! Then to really rub salt into my wounds I got back to the boat to find the black ray that had been circling me had helped itself to my Salmon leaving me with the head! Off to the shops to get a mesh bag instead of a stringer tomorrow!

I've been doing some afternoon dives at Sandringham lately. Seeing (and managing to occasionally shoot), Small Snapper, Stud Bream, Trevally, Flathead, Snook,Whiting, Warhoe and all sorts of reef species. This is the time of year to check a out the top part of the Bay.

This photo was taken on Sunday 19th March just of Sandringham beach while I was Spearfishing with my 10yo son. The boat came past within 20-30 m of both our boat with a dive flag clearly displayed and our dive float another 50 m away also displaying a dive flag! He was clearly doing well over 5 knots. We took the photo as evidence to give to the police but later noticed he also has no visible rego numbers (although if you zoom in on the front of the boat on the blue strip it appears there are the remains of a rego sticker...possibly JB678 although difficult to tell. If you see this clown or the boat please report him to the police asap. Its bad enough that he put us in danger, even worse that he isn't showing rego so he cannot be caught! The police have been sent the photo to followup.
P.S. he also broke up a school of Salmon we were approaching...bastard!
I think we should start a new 'Hall of Shame" Post for photos of dangerous boaters so that as a community we can better identify them and work with police to catch them!

Nice work on reporting them Matt. I think that's pretty much all we can do.
Also would be good to take photo's of your boat with the flag up. Doesn't have to be in the same photo. Just as proof for police.
If there are old rego stickers, they should be able to track it as it would have been registered with those numbers at some point.

Also take photos of any other boats in proximity with flags. From that wake on his boat it looks like hes travelling at a decent speed.

I recommend staying as close as possible to your boat when spearing in the bay.
I've had a few close calls recently when diving with Alan M in the bay. Especially around Mornington Peninsula.

I dove from the jetski a few weeks ago and towed that around and drifted with it in areas of current. Felt safer in the water as boats couldn't miss seeing the ski...especially when there is no one on it....they slow down to take a look! hehe.

How big was the kingy Matt?

I might have seen the same ones at ricketts yesterday tailing a school of nice sized salmon. Kings were 65-70cm est
