Can't be too safe, fisheries are everywhere these days

Dived with Kyle today. Conditions were awesome. Vis for most of the day was 10m+ in some spots 20m+. Not a heap of fish life. Long session covered plenty of ground but in the last 1.5hrs were able to find a couple Cray's 3.7kg and 1kg. Highlight of the day was Kyle's Cray 3.7kg. And we both ended up with a mixed bag Boary each, sweep and Kyle also got a snook around the 1kg mark.

Dived today. Lasted an hour an half before I thought this is the stupidest session I've ever planned  . Apart from my sore head and dehydration the Vis was great 15m+, and the fish had heaps of fun swimming safely around me. No Cray's but plenty of good fish seen copper moki's, big KGW and boaries.

The prom on Saturday, shore dive. 15-20m vis. Large banded morwong, sweep, and boarfish taken. The black drummer eluded us in the caves and off the spear, but there was plenty of fish life about compared to the back beaches the previous weekends. A hot day for a cool dip. Looking forward to this summer.

Three of us dived at Pyramid Rock yesterday (25 October). Entered the water at 7.30am in almost perfect conditions. 0.5m swell and 20+ vis, was awesome! Headed out on the eastern side of the rock, then around the outer island. As always, amazing sea life on the seaward side. Shame the water wasn't a little bit warmer for some Kingy's. First time we've dived there, but definitely not the last!!! All had a good day with all the usual reef species. Fisheries we're waiting for us in the car park, but as always, one of them was a spearo, so we swapped stories about favourite dive sites. Top blokes. Top job!

Cheers

Conditions were nice and calm today so I decided to try and grab some dinner. Visibility wasn't that great - 5 to 6 meters.

Got the boarfish as soon as I jumped in from the rocks but it took me a while to find the school of legal sweep.

Dove the island with Watto yesterday morning variable vis ranging from 5-8m+ to a milky nothing in some patches. A little bit of roll and at times some annoying wind chop, enough to gulp a mouthful of salty seawater more than once....but a great day with great company.

I set the ground rules first thing before Watto jumped in the car...he wasn't allowed to look at his phone or show me pics of facebook for the duration of the trip.

The Island was a brothel, we counted at least 8 boats with hookah's chasing crays....that place has been smashed of crays.

A thanks to Watto, Im now going to be the hero for Christmas lunch and can look down with shame on those who bring anything less than a cray to the table.

Peace

nigz
