Six Spined Leatherjacket. B scale comp species. (100 pts plus 10 pts per kg). Minimum weight 400gms. State and Aust. record 2610gms. Found everywhere. Love burley. Very Yummy.

Southern Blue Spot Flathead.(Sand Flathead) Competition Species. B scale. (100pts plus 10 pts per kg). Minimum weight 400gms. State and Aust. record 2560gms. Likes sand and shallows. Challenging to spot. Very, very yummy. |

Barber Perch. A scale competition species. (125 pts plus 10 pts per kg) Minimum weight 340gms. State and Aust. record 570gms. Deep water species. Rarely caught less than 10 metres. Very common on offshore lumps. Respond greedily to berley. Yummy.

Black Parrot (Purple Wrasse) B scale comp fish. (100 pts plus 10 pts per kg). Minimum weight 400gms. State record 2100gms. Burley works. Often frustrating specie. Never stop. Edible but does nothing for my taste buds.

Stargazer. C scale comp fish. (100 pts plus 10 pts per kg) Minimum weight 1000gms. State and Aust record 6810gms. Yummy. (I will only shoot in a comp as they are special to watch) Bury in sand. Head like concrete (shoot elsewhere). Beware spines on pectorals and never put your finger near it's mouth! |

Silver Spot Cod. Prominent silver dot on point of gill cover. A scale comp fish. (125 pts plus 10 pts per kg) Minimum weight 340gms. State and Aust record 1390gms. Weave in and out of kelp. Respond to burley. Hunch back appearance. Edible but closely related to Kelpies. (I would rather eat my shoe!)
