One on the tree, one under him and one to the left behind the tree. Easy for me to see em coz I have pics with nothing in it to compare to!

Have an over and under I can use there and a whistle but haven't had any luck with the whistle yet. Seen em a couple of times without it tho, stuck a broadhead a half inch above ones head into a tree last time I used my bow, misjudged distance by only a few feet but that's all it took!

Get your hands on one of these bad boys Rhino http://www.tenterfieldfoxwhistle.net/
They may take a long time to learn but once you learn how to do it properly foxes run in from every direction! as i have lernt!
Watto and Trent have also seen one of these things in action had bets put on that a fox will be around within 10 - 15mins and they were both wrong 2mins flat at 20m away!

Mines a couple of coins drilled out with a brass ring around em holding them together. This thing has sentimental value so I wanna stick with it till I know for sure. Haven't really used it in the right spots yet I reckon, or I'm doing it wrong! Heard good reports about em, not as good as the tenterfield tho!

The whistle your talking about is the tenterfeild whistle.
Alot louder and more raspy than the common button whistle.

The gun I mainly use is a savage mod 12 BTCSS in 204ruger with a 4-24X50
I load all my own ammo with 25.5gr of bm-2 under 39gr serria blitzkings.
I have also shot foxes with 222/17wildcat, 223rem, 17hmr, 22lr and ofcourse
.204 ruger. The 204 and 222/17 stand out above all.

When I can I will shoot a fox with my samba rifle (weatherby vanguard 300win mag)

anyway last night provided 2 foxes shot one lost in long grass the other droped on the spot

Image

my left hand is covering the logo on my work shirt. i could get in alot of trouble for petty
shit like that

that's a lot of foxes!

spotlighting seems a bit boring though (I imagine), is it more fun walking around during the day and getting them?

and has anyone here gotten them with a bow? I think if I read correctly, Rhino missed one by a few inches with a bow.

Got this pup at 280m using my .204 Ruger.

P.S. Sadly my .204 is for sale....easily the most accurate rifle I have ever owned - so accurate it makes the nut behind the bolt look bad!

Its a Howa 1500 Stainless Heavy Barrel in a Boyds Thumbhole stock with a Tasco 4-24 Mill dot scope, comes with Dies, 100 projectiles, mabye 200 once fired brass, 100 factory loads, cover and cleaning kit.
