Went for a hunt with mladz and Adrian the other day and smacked this bloke with the 300wsm from 305 metres. After a huuuge (800 metres) tracking job we found him dead.

I shot him through the base of the neck but the shot was a bit low (I underestimated the distance) and it missed his spine, he eventually bled out. I have stripped the velvet and he is hard underneath. He went 26.5 x 26.5 x 28 wide Cheers for the comments |

Nice head mate I was gonna put a guess of 25! He's got massive brows!!! Personally I wouldve taken it straight to a taxidermist and gotten him to get some formaldehyde into the velvet. But I have seen some nice jobs from the velvet being removed. Haha bit risky taking a neck shot I allways aim up the front shoulders or the chest! |

Do you go for the heart shot to preserve the head or is it just an easier shot and u want to make sure u get it? |

You normally aim for the chest (heart lung area) as its the largest target that will result in a quick kill. |
