Took my oldest boy down to Flinders yesterday for a crack at some squid as it was the only place that was offshore down my way. Don't get out much but the young fellas keen as so I can see it becoming a regular thing.

Just wanted to have a whinge about the pricks that take up half the fucken pier with 10 rods to one bloke! Left us in a pretty shit spot, not that we woulda caught much anyway but that's not the point. I tend to say what I think and did but they just act like they don't understand and go on being dicks. Are there regs on the amount of rods you can have? I can see a confrontation in my near future if we keep hitting the piers and would like a little ammo for when it happens!

Yep, 4 lines with a max of 2 hooks per line or one bait jig. I get on the phone to 13fish and dob the bastards in! It's just plain greedy and rude.

Even fours bloody ridiculous when they put em 30ft apart!

I have a really low tolerance for bullshit and even lower for fuckers that have complete disregard for other people!

About 30 people on the pier and 4 of em took up 3 quarters of it. This could get interesting!

Yeah but there was only one bloke with a heap of rods the rest had 3 or 4 but covered heaps of prime fishing real estate, told my boy to go and learn how to cast between them. Reckon I'll keep up with that tactic till someone snaps and gives me a reason to lose the plot!

I have no faith in fisheries whatsoever, heard too many stories of people calling and no response! A simple "Fuck off the extras or they're in the drink" should do the job for those knobs!

Yeah some cultures are hardwired to keep everything, I'm sure they're grateful for their catch but it's out of control in some spots.
There's a bloke that's on Portsea pier almost every single night that keeps every single squid he can get his hands on. Asks to buy mine everytime I jump out of the water, stalked me back to the car several times to see what I've caught!
