Got on a charter from Hasting yesterday afternoon from 3.30pm to 8.30pm and we managed 43 King George Whiting between the seven of us, none less than 32cm. Also caught but put back in the water were small flathead, a Gurnard and a small red mullett. So, whiting all week for me and my immediate family! Now I just have to decide which old Riesling I'm going to have to pull out of the cellar. One of the nicest eating fish you can get out of Westernport Bay I reckon. It was tough out on the water as we had wind against tide all afternoon and very big waves all arvo as well. Two of my group did not hold their lunch in and went a whiter shade of pale very early on so really there was only five of us fishing. Fun Times and a day off work well spent!
