One of my good mates took me for a leisurely arvo stalk this evening in a spot he's been keeping under wraps and I had this young stag walk towards me. Gave it to him with the 30-06 at under 10m away

Well done again mate!! Awesome eating my old man couldn't believe how good the sambar I shot was on the BBQ. I didn't hang it marinade it or anything just rubbed a little salt and pepper on it before placing on a low heat on the BBQ. Feont legs I minced and made tacos and a spag Bol i didn't tell the mrs it was bambi and she didn't know the difference (cracked it when she found out now divorced) keep up the good work.... |

I leave my meat to sit in the fridge for a couple of days, just for it to set so it's easier to cut up |

good work watto. ! Kerrin should we be worried about you wanting hunting videos? SFD are very proud of their hunting/spearfishing and if we were to publish slain animal footage it could get us into trouble. There is a lot of absolute bullshit in the media about animal rights these days especially from dumb fuck try hard hippies from Melbourne. yep your right I am pointing the finger a little, but I don't know you. there are heeps of videos on youtube. oZ (Perth airport heading back to the bush) |

Sorry mate due to the graphic images we can't put footage like that up. He came walking through the thick bush straight towards me then turned side on so he copped it! |

yeah fair enough didn't even think of that Ozdog. just watched a couple of youtube videos earlier today on pigs and deer, they are quite confronting how they spasm and stuff.. I just assumed they would drop to the floor and that's all. |

Woluld like to use Sambar Stag scales on my next knife, but have no experience with the material, have done a couple of Pukko knives with elk antler as spacers, but never as scales. Any suggestions on using the Samber scales, and suggestions to finishing the stag. Thanks for your suggestions. |
