The sport is called Octopush and is basically a form of underwater hockey. The key is to have team mates synchronised in a continuous dive pattern.

I used to play in a team with a few other spearos and we were shit. It just doesn't suit the way we dive. Long drops means long recovery times and you get creamed by guys who only stay down for ten-twenty seconds but only take a couple of seconds to recover and do it again. It's great for general fitness though.
