Post subject:  Piccaninnie Ponds

A couple of years ago we dived Piccaninnie Ponds over a couple of days. It's a pretty nice dive. Water is really clear and cool as well. I'd love to go back there. We did morning dives and afternoon dives and the colours and shadows changed so each dive was a bit different. Anyway, now that I've figured out how to get pictures up, enjoy the scenery!

I have no idea exactly how deep I can dive but it would be less than ten metres as I didn't get to the bottom of Pope's Eye the other week and that's around ten or more metres apparently. I must buy a dive watch one day. At Piccaninnie because the water is so clear and apparently it's pretty deep, what you see and how you guage your perception of distances and depth is different to being in the salt water. It's a bit hard for me to explain but it just is. I'd really love to do another weekend there and do some more diving in crystal clear water with no current and salt water.
