 Post subject: new to freediving

I want to know after i hold breath and dive, should i exhale during diving or keep all air in lung untill i return to surface?
please any one have a book explaining freediving, share it

Hold your breath until you reach the surface! If you exhale on the way up you drop the pressure in your lungs which can lead to shallow water blackout!

Worth doing a course in my opinion - some of the info in this book is a bit out dated but it is the the best reference I have found.
