Rhino, have you seen the Airbalete? its apparently designed resolving this issue to a reasonable degree. Looks like you can't see the spear, but I would think it would be ok to aim compared to a regular design.

Rather than me write about it here why not go and look at the "Deeper Blue" web-site where you can find a lot of info on pneumatic spearguns. People there generally know what they are talking about rather than just echoing what they have read posted on the various forums. http://forums.deeperblue.net/archive/in ... f-110.html Declaring that guns are shit tells no one anything of substance. I just posted here to provide some factual info. I only joined the forum to contact one of the moderators by PM as I did not have his e-mail address. Not sure when Hartleys ceased trading, maybe the late seventies, the shop was in Flinders Street and probably the real estate that it was built on became too valuable. The whole block was redeveloped. |

I didn't like having to get the loading handle every time I reloaded, had it clipped to my belt but was still a pain in the arse! Also not a fan of not being able to look along the shaft when lining something up. |

This is an old post but I can't help my self as I have used a pneumatic speargun for 35 years. They are great for what they do. I have shot some big fish (20kg groper) with my Cressi SL 70 They are very reliable, compact and perfectly suited to their application. Recently I have bought a couple of band guns. Torelli Tigo 1 mt and an Omer camo 1.3. Expesive for what you get and big to handle. |
