Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good torch for a night dive... Went out the other week, using a few generic ones (not led) and found them not light enough..

I have been looking at the beuchat 3 watt led.

Anyone had any experience with them?

Lee

I prefer to use a powerful narrow beamed cray torch than one with a big spread! I reckon the bigger ones spook the fish before you get to them and if you point the narrow one in their eyes then...they don't see what's coming if you get my drift! Like spotlighting bunnies!

I used to use a pair of mini q 40's on each side of the mask strap. They worked pretty well.

LED Lenser D14 Frogman. You can pick them up cheap from time to time. Solid, bright and nice narrow beam.

Love my led lenser . (Keep the switch clean and lubed). Very strong light for its size.

LEd lenser fantastic torch but got to be careful of switch mine broke last dive when Trent used it also just picked up a EDI-T LED light aluminium body rotary switch on/off/SOS has a 250 lumen output compared both torches at night rougly the same beam but seems brighter than the LED lenser but LED lenser is lighter in weight both torches are roughly the same size

It's a d13 checked website and realised is actually only 250 lumens output but supposedly the same as the frogmen  dont know where I read 300 lumens but as stated compared both torches with new batteries and believe the d13 was brighter will have to confirm under water next dive http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Scuba-diving ... 3cb003ac79
