when i was teaching SCUBA i found a lot of students tightened their mask way way to tight. this made the skirts of the mask destort and you get water.

A razor in the glove box of the car and a little trim under th nose does the trick. I also use lucas papaw ointment if i remember.

low volume masks are great coz your eyes are (usually) closer to the lense and it helps with your side vision (pereforal?) they dont always fit everyone's face.

I dont think it makes a huge difference in the depths i dive in.

buy a mask that fits and is comfortable. :P
