Hey spearos,

I've been spearfishing on and off for about 3 years, but ever summer I only go about 5 times. At the moment I urgently has a 705 size gun. But I'm starting to get into to it a lot more now. So I'm looking to get a gun upgrade. I want to get either a 1.1 , 1.2 or 1.3 m gun. Is there any recommendations on brand to get and what gun to get ?

Johno

Get a rob Allen or aimrite mate, both very good guns. I have a rob Allen 1200 Sparid, absolutely love it, beautiful power with one band and even better with two!

U can't go past the torelli from legendary. Lifetime warranty cannot beat that plus u are buying from an Australian owned company from a specialty spearo store. A .9 or 1m are good for around the bay to big can make it difficult especially in reduced viz.

This question has been asked a lot on this forum over the past few years. Do a search for more info.

1m is the ideal length for Vic. 19mm bands & 6.5mm shaft have served me well.

Rob Allen & Aimrite are no better than the other quality brands out there - Torelli/Picasso/Esclapez/Omer etc.

Yeah Octo is spot on. Every man and his dog has a rob Allen because there good guns, but so many compare to the standards of the rob Allen so it's upto personal preference. Head in to legendary and they will sort you out!

And nah, I'm keeping this bad boy, just bought a new semi closed muzzle for it and plan to use it soon if the weather heats up!
