WTF!
Just rig your gun as you would with a normal muzzle bungee.
Run your reel line through the muzzle reel guide (not 100% sure on rife's) and back down to your crimped MONO muzzle bungee loop. (bungee now removed).
Tie a bow line and cut or untie when you want to change out your spears.
Trent used to use a small pig tail swivel to join but I would find when tracking fish vibrations may cause un- necessary noise. and it looked shit!

Riffe Euro is an open muzzle Kiwi. But I don' think this would make much difference. I have two spears for the gun with two different set-ups. Oscar, I just wanted to avoid having to untie and re-tie knots or cut line, especially if I was to use a flame to seal the loose end of the knot, mainly because knots aren't my thing and I'm all thumbs. The small pigtail swivel sounds like a good option for my purposes and would take hardly any time while on the water to change spears, especially in a boat in lumpier seas where tying a knot would be a pain and a hassle. The gun is a 135 and would be used for kingies or Spanish mack etc when in reel mode so I can probably put up with the vibrations. Thanks.
