Hi all! I've just signed up to this forum in search of some advice & a recommendation.. Forgive the username, but I was a bit hesitant to use a recognisable name in case my other half uses this forum too! I am after an xmas present for said fisherman.. He's rather into free diving - mainly for spear fishing. Im planning on getting him some form of dive computer, wrist sized preferably. Suunto look to be the best ones around, and a reasonably basic (reasonably priced) one should do fine at this stage .. He's just starting out spearfishing & freediving, so just one that shows depth/tides/time/pressure/direction/whatever it is they do will be all good. Please can you give me an idea of the best one to get? I've been looking at the Suunto Zoop.. Is that suitable? |

Other ones to check out would be, mares nemo excel or the aeris f10 Pretty much what your after is dive time, depth, surface time and your normal time. |

I use a Suunto D4 and have no complaints. Its a great watch and it's easy to use. The Omer UP-X1 looks like a good watch so check them out also. http://www.spearfishing.com.au/add-on-gear/computers Good luck, he's a lucky man. |

Thanks heaps guys! Anything else I should keep in mind? Or brands etc I should avoid? I really am out of my element with this one! |
