Never had an open cell wetsuit and may be able to buy one soon, would a 3mm open cell be warm enough for 2-3 hour dives on the vic surf coast in winter. Cheers.

Keep saving till you can afford a 5mm. The Irony will be when you can't afford one until summer when you only need a 3mm but a 5 will still be better.

Definitely save up for a 5mm. You won't survive with a 3mm at all! PLus you'll need good gloves, booties and make sure the wetty has a hood.

NO, 5mm is a must for 80% of the year. Legendary has 5mm Torelli suits for $340 Genuine Japanese Yamamoto compression resistant, independent closed microcell high elasticity neoprene...
