The Aireys Inlet event (22/3/15) is an inter-club competition where divers are not only representing themselves, but also their club. Based on a formula taking into consideration all categories i.e. juniors, females, veterans, etc. The winning club will be awarded the inter-club trophy. So if being part of a team is something that interests you, then this is the event for you.

The format for the Inter-club competition planned for Aireys Inlet is as follows:

10pts for 1st, 9pts for 2nd down to 1pt for 10th

Following the AUF categories,
Female, Junior(under 17yrs), Intermediate(18-24yrs), Senior(25-44yrs), Veteran(45-54),
Master(over 55yrs)
6 pts for 1st, 3pts for 2nd, 2pts for 3rd

Only the top six scores from each club will be included in each clubs final tally.

Hopefully Club Spearfish and the Shipwreck Coast Skindivers and put together a team to be part of this event. It would be great to have some competitive club rivalry for the trophy!

This season, this competition is due to be held on the 10th of April 2016.
This will be run as a PAIRS COMPETITION, with the winning team named the Victorian Pairs Champions.
It will be a 6 hour comp starting at 9am.
Aireys Inlet is the desired location.
Combined scores of top 3 teams to be named the winning club for the Inter-club Title.

Hopefully we get good weather and a good turnout this year from all three clubs.

Hi all, The VSC Inter-club Pairs Competition is coming up soon. I have attached the SFD rules. The rules for individual competition will apply, except for the following:
*One float between a pair of divers is acceptable
*A pair of divers must not be more than 30 metres apart
*One diver must remain on the surface at all times
*Mirror and whistle must be carried by each diver (not on the float)
*Each pair will work off one scoresheet

I have also attached the competition entry form. Entry is $10 each, $5 per junior. Please submit filled in entry form and correct money upon sign-on 30 minutes before start time on the day of competition.
It is hoped we will have a few snags and drinks available to competitors after the dive.
80% of each divers score will also be included in the VSC Land Based Aggregate Trophy. i.e. if a pair of divers score 50% in this comp, they will each get 40 points towards their land based aggregate score.
Final call on location and time will be made on the Thursday (7/4/2016) before competition. Please see this thread or contact your clubs VSC rep. for confirmation.

It would be great to see divers coming together from all Victorian clubs to compete in this event.

Organise your own pair Watto. If anybody is looking for a partner, feel free to ask on this thread. If you are representing your club, you will need to pair up with somebody from your own club.
