Hi guys,
Im new to spearfishing and am looking at getting a decent 2nd hand gun. I would prefer a gun around 1m but I would consider something 90cm. Pretty much, tv shows such as 'spearing the menu' and 'hunters and gatherers' dvd, have made me want to see what this sport is all about. Im a lino and have done a lot of line fishing(90% LB) in Victoria so I have a decent knowledge of fish species plus also a few spots but just need to get my gear before I can spear something

I used to do bit of swimming when I was younger(over 10yrs ago)so Im pretty much a noob at diving and spearing so I will try to make it down to one of your meetings and introduce myself and hopefully pick up a few pointers.

Im looking at spending around $200 but if something really good comes up I would consider spending more.

Im thinking of getting my wetty, mask/snorkel and a few bits and pieces at legendary. I went in there a cpl weeks back and they had some excellent advice and there was no 'high pressure sales' techniques which I really liked. If anyone has some decent flippers in a US size 9-10 and a decent dive float(preferrably large and brightly coloured) I am also interested. Im a bit hesitant to spend up as Im only a beginner and hope to upgrade to better as I become more competent.

Anyway, thanks for reading, and I hope to meet up with some of the characters from here. :P :P

Hi dave,
Cheers for the welcome and I appreciate the offer of your 90cm freedivers gun. I will spend a week or two looking. Its a little bit smaller than what I would like but if nothing comes up in that time I might give you a bell.

Don't sell your .9 Dave. That's as good a gun as any for chasing pinkies and bream up the top end of the bay in limited vis.

Hi,
I have a undersea woodie 1000 MK2 that I am looking to sell. Its in top condition, only used a handful of times and has just recently had a second rubber added. I was looking for about $220 because of such good condition, but would be open to an offer.
email me (Christopher_hannan@hotmail.com) if you would like pictures or any more info.
I also have some Cressi-sub Garra 3000 freediving fins, size 42-43. only used twice. I would be happy to look at a deal for both.

regards.
Chris Hannan
