here it is boys, the alltimate dive buddy :P Keeps your fish/crays safe and sound away from seals,sharks and rays. No drag while your swimming which is great. Come's with a water tight hatch,flag,bung. Painted with 2pac . have added 2 ribs on the inside so if you want to set up a back pack for it you can drill through the bottom. She is made of fibre glass so its built to last, little heavier than a plastic which in my mind makes it alot better that the plastic plarks getting around. I wouldnt dive with out one these days.

would take me 2-3weeks to get one ready

Looks the goods! Do you know the displacement, ie 11L etc?
Could some bungee webbing be added to the top, say for stowing fins/other gear?

not sure how many litres it is mate, when i build the next one ill find out. Most fins fit inside the float, my DiveRs dont but.

To find out the displacement you could just weight it empty then weigh it full of water. 1lt of water weighs 1kg.

I don't think he is.
To find the displacement weigh it and that is the weight of the sea water it will displace.
To find its internal volume you could fill it with water and weigh or measure the water.
To find it's external volume sink it and see how much water it displaces.

That's right for floating objects Brett. You would just assume that these floats do just that, otherwise they would be called sinks.

Brett is right guys salt water weighs more then fresh. 1 ton of salt water is the equal weight of 1.2ton of fresh if you used the same to containers. You will find for the same volume you will need more fresh water.

Yeah i know what I was meauring was internal volume not displacement. I just thought ash was calling it the same so I wasn't going to confuse the matter. The diff between external volume and internal would be 2 fifths of bugger all.
