Hey everyone, new to spear fishing and am looking to get right into it. At the moment I'm looking for a secondhand wetsuit if anyone has one. I'm 6'2 and about 95kg, 5mm maybe? Not too sure as I'll be spearing around Mornington. Also looking for a second hand gun that still works good. Haven't got a huge budget but say what you have and how much, pm me if needed. Thanks |

I have a old sonar gun, 90cm I think, not the best but it shoots, it's been a reliable gun for me for years. Also have. 7mm semi dry suit that would suit your size (being a semi dry it takes a fuck load of weight to get down), I also have a 2mm neutrally buoyant wetsuit that again would suit your size. I'm pretty much exactly the same dimension, 6"2 and between 90-100kg. I actually have quite a lot of spare gear. |

Sorry to wreck you sale Hardgainz but I think he might want something that he will use rather than curse. A 7mm semi dry is not what you want for spearing, nor is 2 mm. The gun is something you bought but wish you didn't and now you want to sell it to someone else. |

Thanks for the help out Greg. I've got myself a torelli wetsuit now off a mate that pretty much lives in the water and a float I have to rig up. Hopefully soon I'll be properly kitted up and then start heading out maybe with some more experienced guys from this site.. Ears are always open and keen to learn as much as I can |

The gun is something I bought when I was getting into the sport and regret no part of it... It served me well up until December of this year... Unsure what you're trying to get at here but id rather keep it than have this sort of feed back, it serves it's purpose well as the back up. As it came in handy on the weekend when my friend lost the tip of his spear after shooting his first sweep at the prom, instead of calling it a day he got to use old faithful. Can't believe I'm even defending myself Jesus Christ, take it or leave it is what it is. Why even 2nd hand gear when a suitable gun and suit will cost you ~$400 and you'll have warranty piece of mind and a place to take it back to if it fucks up. |
