i knew f**k all dive spots untill i started talking to people on this forum and being NICE about it.
if you ask for a few dive spots people will give you a few good starters but maby not their secret spots.

i have a spot x or 2 that i wont really talk about but if i become mates with someone i will take them there.
just like if someone comes with me that is new to the sport i will try n take them to a fishy spot so they
have a good time and hopfully get hooked on it like i am..

wantobme how do you find all your dive/fishing spots?

Best thing I can advise, get out there and check it out for yourself. Don't bother asking for gps coordinates and such, rather learn what habitat particular species like, when, how, etc.

A few basic rules of thumb; Flood tide fish shallow water, ebb tide fish deep. Find the structure you are after, google earth is great for this. Boats are great in that you can come in fairly close, fish up against the rocks up until high tide, then move out further and fish deeper structure like bommies when the tide turns.

Probably the best advice I can give, find several spots in different locations so when weather or conditions are crap, you can easily move and still have a successful trip.

hi random i know where you are comming from, while it is very rewarding finding your own dive spots when you are new to boating or diving in general it is handy to know a few spots that are known to hold fish so as you arnt wasting your time i feel this is all that you have asked for and isnt this the idea of the the fourum to share information and ideas to further the sport? ps i find google earth a great way to pick new places to go try a few of the well known spots but look on google earth to see if there is interesting looking spots near by good luck
