Meeting next tuesday night (5th Jan). Come along and talk to the boys about spearfishing / tinder / boating / girls / church / casino. Arrive at 7:30 for a BBQ and then a meeting will begin at around 8:15 or so. Hope to see everyone there - A lot of good fish has been speared lately so lots of dive reports!! |

Meeting Tuesday 5th Jan at the Victorian Game fishing Club clubrooms at 186 Station Street Edithvale. Come and make your self known,have a snag and talk anything spearfishing.There have been some great fish speared over the last month or so come and tell your story. A free BBQ will be provided from 7.30 with the short meeting to follow after 8.00. All welcome. See you there . |

Meeting Tuesday February 2nd Come along to the Edithvale Gamefishing Clubrooms for a laugh, a talk about spearfishing and a free BBQ from 7:30pm onwards cooked by yours truly. Always a good time, dive reports, water safety, upcoming competitions (kingfish cup 7-8th of feb) so make sure you come down, everyone is welcome, all ages. |

There will be a SFD meeting next tuesday (5th April). BBQ will be provided. 186 Station Street, Edithvale (Victorian Gamefishing Clubrooms) One of our members, Ryan (Rhino), will be (hopefully) present and he is collecting any unwanted spearfishing equipment that you may have lying around as for his work, he works with disabled children and has been taking them spearfishing. This is a great idea and if you have any unwanted equipment lying around then it would be great if you could pass them onto him as they will DEFINITELY go to a good cause. BBQ 7:30pm. Meeting to follow at 8-8:30. Good fun as usual. Come along and talk spearfishing with some of the veterans of the club and learn a thing or two. Membership forms will also be there so you can join the club. See you all there! P.S Here is the post from Ryan. "I work with disabled kids so I've started taking guys out spearing and they love it. The spare gear that I have been using is just too far gone and is getting in the way of them having a good time. I've organised for some funding to get better gear but the budget is real tight. If anyone has anything sitting around in their shed that they're happy to part with let me know. Needing the whole kit, booties, gloves, wetsuit, gun, float, knife etc Let me know what you have" |

On Tuesday we'll be hosting our 2nd info night and probably the most important for safe and enjoyable Freediving. Walter Steyn will be covering the basics in breath hold diving. Definitely something not to be missed!! Also, dont forget. If youre interested in Competitive spearfishing this season, make sure you get to our information evening on the 16th of September!! Going to be a great season! |

MEETING UPDATE. Hey guys and girls, there will be NO MEETING tomorrow night as it is cup day. As of our calendar, the meeting is scheduled for the 8th of November. See you all then for a discussion about Victorian Spearfishing and the competitions thus far / still to come. Thanks Mitch |

Hi All, Southern freedivers monthly meeting will take place tomorrow (Tuesday 6th dec) starting at 7:30 with a free BBQ. All welcome. What will the mystery game be this month? We've been advised by Geoff it involves "tossing". |
