Gday All,

Vic records havent been updated in a few years so I am trying to get them all together. I still have a few weights to check but this version should be 99.9% right. If anyone has any issues let me know.

Cheers,
Leigh

Thanks Lethal trying to hold on to that record for as long as I can because iam sure it will be smashed sooner than later. Reading through the records there is alot of history in there. Some of the old names on the list I still dive with when I can. Great work

OK I think I have it all sorted! Any further issues please let me know. Especially the nerdy science guys if you find any issues with the scientific names.

WEEDFISH, COMMON Heteroclinus perspicillatus.

BS. More likely to have been H. johnstoni. Need to see photo or specimen. I would declare the record invalid, but thats just me.

H. johnstoni is the largest Heteroclinus in Victorian waters, and I doubt a much smaller species would be likely to reach the record size...

ANGLERFISH, MITCHELLS (SPINYCOAT ANGLERFISH) Echinophryne mitchelli

NO. Probably Rhycherus filamentosus which grows to that size.

Thanks Shadow, 2 very good pick-ups.

Both the records are very old, 1965 & 1975. I currently have very little info pre-1990's so I will have to go back through the records officers and see if I can find anything.

Cheers
