Remember that oils and bloods are the best way to attract the fish but flesh (anything edible to the fish) will keep them around. Try and advoid using fish you see on your dive. |

Use tuna oils and pulp mixtures, mix them with pallets before you go out and freeze it, throw it in a scaler bag and go from there. Also remember not to use too much burley as there is rules and regs on this. |

Consider this: pilchards aren't mammals so whether or not they have offal doesn't matter in the least bit. Offal usually refers to internal organs and bits not commonly eaten. Mammal offal refers to the internal organs of mammals (i.e. not pilchards). When people talk about offal they usually mean organs/guts from larger animals (mammals such as cows, sheep, pigs, etc.). Stop and think about it for a minute. Have you seen the size of a pilchard? If you only use heads for burley you'd be going through quite a few bags. |

I continue to enjoy this sport more and more, not only because I'm hoping to grow gills one day, but the people you meet along the way. When Inocence is lost the world can become bitter; thanks for the laughs. |

I'd say try to only use things you would see on the dive as that's what the fish your targetting will be feeding on anyway! Smashing a few urchins up is a good start, I am partial to a bag of pillies though. Catch up with someone who knows what they're talking about, you'll learn a lot really fast that way! |
