Im up in Newy for the next 6 months for work (fly in fly out) and have yet to go for a dive here but am itching to, litterlarly staying at a place right on the beach . Sharks are a plenty though recently so i'd rather go diving with a buddy, sure i'll find a local that will take me out first few times.

Anyone on the forum done and diving around the area that can shead some experiance?

Been to a few spearo shops up here and you can get a real bargain on gear. I got a cressi hard float with flag and keel included for only $30! I do love a bargain.

BTW
How are things back in vic condition wise? Hoping to get out somewhere this weekend, looks like probably the south end of the bay is the way to go.
